My first international documentary experience

Slava was my first international documentary experience and helped shape my passion for humanitarian filmmaking. Shot entirely in Ukraine, the film required adapting quickly to an unfamiliar environment, culture, and language, all while serving a story that demanded care and precision.

The experience of working at feature length in a foreign country changed how I approach documentary work. It deepened my belief that the most important stories are often the ones furthest from home.
